Plectranthus amboinicus / Cuban Oregano plant Dying :(

Contradiction

I have had a cuban oregano plant for about a year now. It was just a branch that someone broke off theirs and gave to me. It could barely stay up straight so I had to prop it up with a chopstick and some twine and it grew beautifully. I had a scare last year when the stem started to turn brown and the leaves were turning.

I assume now that the "browning" was just the stem growing a sort of "bark" to it? (If someone knows and you could clarify if this is healthy or not)

But now this year, on each of the branch stems the leaves are starting to turn yellow and gradually start to die and work their way up to the top of each of the branches. It's alarming me because each day there is a new leaf that is yellowing and it has never happened this rapidly before. I do live in a place where we get snow and it is getting colder out, but it is a indoor plant and has never been subjected to the cold. Please someone help me. I love this plant.
