| Or do I have to wait till they turn brown on the plant? I have two and the flowers are there now and some the seed pods are green, I bought them at 4th July garden clearance...I have them in concrete block holes, this year. I hope I dont lose the seeds in the grass. ..I asked couple years ago but it did not say when to pick the seeds. Before I had one planted in a container pot on deck...
Oh what about my fennel seeds, and stevia seeds, too.? Thanks yall jean |

| The answer depends on why you want to gather the seed. If it is for culinary use it will not matter if it is not completely ripe when picked and dried. But if it is for sowing next season it needs to ripen fully on the plant for best success, ie go brown. (This applies to fennel and caraway - I can't comment on stevia) |
