Bringing in herbs to grow lights

I was looking for some advice in bringing my herbs indoors. It was -8 celcius last night, so I know the herbs I brought in are not edible, but I was wondering if I could bring them in, cut them down and start growing them under a grow light. Or should I just get new seeds. They were big beautiful plants this summer.

Basil and cilantro are annuals. Their lives will be short. Parsley is a biennial though I generally treat it like an annual. It will probably be very short-lived indoors as well.

Rosemary is a perennial though notoriously hard to over winter indoors. See back posts in this forum for more on that. An unheated porch might be best to over winter rosemary and parsley in.
