Bought these July 4th clearance too. Put them in some big 18 inch pots.
What do I do with these overwinter???
I tasted it, it did taste like celery.
Should I cut the leaves and dry and use like celery????
Any and all comments please
Thank you
Jean

RE: what about my lovage plants

If you have a garden I would recommend transplanting your lovage to it. It is not really a suitable candidate for containers as it is a perennial with a long taproot. The plant can reach 6 feet plus in height and is long-lived. It will die down over the winter and reappear in spring. If you have no garden it will probably be ok in those pots for a year or so but it will not thrive long-term. You could chop it and freeze or dry it.
