Honestly, I would suggest classes taken in person if at all possible. It is so much different and rewarding than online training. And if you want to take it farther, they may offer apprenticeship opportunities which I strongly suggest. But in any regard, life-long learning on your own is truly wonderful and highly recommended!

And be sure to expand out your possibilities. Horticulture classes on identification of wild plants or how to dry and preserve herbs (culinary herbs use the same techniques) are wonderful for wildcrafting and harvesting skills. Programs on native plants, first aid, Native American/indigenous programs that cover plant use/ethnobotany, botany, gardening, plant propagation, and seed starting, etc... All will broaden areas that touch herb use, growing, and harvesting.
