The Herb Companion

I was subscribed to this magazine and was really disappointed to learn that it's no longer being published. Supposedly they combined it with another of their magazines and they're calling it Mother Earth Living, with natural home, healthy lifestyle under the title. Needless to say, there's not a lot about herbs and its uses in it. I've already contacted the publisher to cancel my subscription. Does anyone have any recommendations for another magazine about herbs?

RE: The Herb Companion

I let my subscription die a couple of years ago and so wasn't aware of Herb Companion's demise until recently. I bought a Mother Earth Living last month and was impressed with the whole magazine; I even recommended it to my DD. But, you are right it, it's not exclusively about Herbs.

RE: The Herb Companion

I've subscribed to both the Herb Companion and the Herb Quarterly for years and enjoyed them both. They were similar in content though I think I preferred the Herb Quarterly a smidge more. At a local library book sale earlier this year I was able to pick up 10+ years of the early Herb Quarterly issues bound into hardcovers for library circulation for $11. An absolute steal in my opinion!

I've picked up the odd issue of Herbalgram here and there. You may wish to check that one out as well if you are more into the science, botanical, and medical info.

RE: The Herb Companion

The Essential Herbal and Plant Healer Magazine are other publications you might want to explore. The Essential Herbal is available in print and digital. Very folksy, down-to-earth magazine. Plant Healer Magazine focuses on medicial uses of plants and is digital, with the option of purchasing a print annual.
