| I have a basil plant that is turning a goldfish color with tiny black spots. The leaves eventually brown and wilt. It is an indoor potted plant with several plants in the same pot. I've looked at different forums but have found anything that helps. From what I've read, it sounds like I would one just have one plant in the lot, however I've had it potted this way for over a year and the plant has only just recently developed this problem. Again I have not come across anything that talks about basil leaves turning a goldfish color. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but not sure what. I've attached a pic to show what the leaves look like. Thanks! |

| The exact same thing has happened to my basil plant. I have had it for about a year. I re-potted it in the summer maybe August to a slightly bigger pot and new potting soil. It is now New Years Day and the plant is completely diminished,in 1 month all the leaves have fallen off and turned a goldish/black. I did try to trim the plant like 2 months ago and it was doing fine then started to flower so I pinched the flowers off and harvested some leaves leaving more than half of the leaves. No idea what has happened to the plant, some of the stalks are wood color and some are still green. helpp! |
