I live in the mountains of northern California and we have had a dry winter. There is still the possibility of snow and below freezing night temps, but my soil is dry, so I am going to pull the hoses out from under the house and water tomorrow.

I am wondering if I should feed my four heucheras I planted last fall:
Chocolate Ruffles
Silver Scrolls
Autumn Leaves
Amethyst Mist

The soil around these plants seem to be moist. All except for Amethyst Mist are showing new leaves at the crown. Should I feed them now ? and what should I feed them.... I have nitrogen poor soil.

I also purchased Crimson Curls today. Should I plant it right away or wait until after last frost ?

I won't be feeding other plants until the end of the month because I am afraid to encourage new growth and will use a high nitrogen fertilizer.
