When I attended the Orchid Show at the New York Botanical garden last month (it was FABULOUS!), I brought home a souvenir for myself from the Garden Shoppe there: my first heuchera--Marmalade.

It was a HARD choice, with over a dozen varieties of heuchera beckoning to me from the display bench. Only iron discipline limited me to one, to fill the space formerly occupied by an HVX infected hosta.

I've read that heucheras can be a little fussy, but if they like where you put them, they let you know. I am pleased that my Marmalade apparently likes its new home, as it's sending up buds on many shoots. This is all new for me as a new heuchera owner, so I will see what unfolds.
