Just planted Georgia Peach--will it overshadow First Mate hosta?

I discovered that my Wide Brim hosta had HVX so out it came. In order to fill the space vacated AND to remind myself not to put another hosta in that infected soil, I went to my local nursery and came back with Georgia Peach. They had Marmalade (which I already have), Caramel (yawn), a few purple ones I didn't like and something-Flambe. The Georgia Peach just sat there glowing, I couldn't take my eyes off of it. So it came home with me. After I planted it in the hole vacated by the infected Wide Brim, I looked up the specs on it. Oh my, it gets 24" wide? Will it overshadow my hosta First Mate, which is about a foot away? Or can I just trim it back in that eventuality?
