Hi there. It's normal for heuchera to start to decline after 4-5 years. They get leggy and don't look round and bushy like they used to. Some of them (as you were referring to) just start to disappear. When this happens, they need to be re-propagated. I've included a link to the best video instruction I've found on how to do this. Another thing heuchera do sometimes is grow a long, woody neck that makes the plant look like an ugly tower with a few leaves sticking out of it. I don't know how else to describe it, but if you've ever seen it you'll know what I'm talking about. If this happens, dig up the plant and re-plant it with the neck buried 1-2 inches deeper. It should send out a new flush of leaves for you in about 3-4 weeks and start to look round and bushy again.
