Havana and Marvelous Marble?

Posted by linnea56 z5 IL (My Page) on

Just picked these 2 varieties up.

I needed a chartreuse colored one so picked up Havana, and the Marvelous Marble were just a good price. The latter look like they are going to be tall. I generally prefer the neat mound shaped ones, but these were attractively marked.

Can anyone tell me more about either? Thanks!

I cant help you 'linnea' but I am very much interested in peoples experiences with "Havana". Does it bloom for a long period with dead heading?

RE: Havana and Marvelous Marble?

I am a newb to heucheras, but I do have Marvelous Marble and it did bloom earlier and the bloomstalks were sort of tallish. about 14 in, and taller than my other one Miracle. It is in pretty much shade and looks pretty good. Miracle I am moving as I think it needs more sun than it gets. I have only had the plants for one year, so I don't think that I know much, but I would expect this plant to spread out more than get tall. MM is pretty next to the hostas I have.
