Did you just buy it, or did it winter over in your garden? I don't grow that one, but in reading about it the red color in the center is supposed to increase as the weather warms. It should also take some morning sun just fine. Did it have more color earlier in the season?

It could be like a heuchera that I grow called "Tiramisu". On that one, the foliage is bright in the spring, plain green with veining in the summer and then bright again in the fall. Some of the other heuchs change colors seasonally as well.

Is it possible to post a pic so we can see what you are concerned about?

I agree with flower_frenzy, often the colors change during growing season.

Also, if it's new to the garden, it could just be settling in to the garden's environment.

Next year maybe it'll look more like what you are expecting.
