Does Sweet Tea like some sun?

Here is my Sweet Tea. I think she looks better in the photo than in person. About three years old. What is wrong? Does she like lots of sun?

I have mine in sun until about 11:30 a.m. It's a lot oranger than yours. Do you have yours in any sun at all? Yours looks like it's growing well enough. Is it the color that you're concerned with?

Yes, I guess it is the colour. It is big enough but somehow just always looks droopy and dry. It is in what I call open shade. Maybe a move is in order.

Well, I'd be happy if my sweet tea looked as bushy as this one does! :) (just so you know)

I'm not sure where you reside, but some morning sun might do the trick to improve the color.

Here's a picture of my 'Sweet Tea' that's planted in sun until 11:30 a.m. As you can see, it greens up during the summer months. The pic was taken this morning.

Here is a picture of the same plant taken in early June.

Flower, yours looks perky and happy in June. That is what I would like to see. I don't think I have a location that just gets morning sun. Will have to figure something out.

dbarron: It is bushy but you somehow just know when a plant is healthy and happy and this one just is not. I would like better colour and more upright leaves. I really think a new location is in order.

Thanks for your input.
