| Many of my heucheras are getting their new fall leaves right now, and Obsidian is no exception. The tired old leaves mixed in with the new, shiny dark purple leaves. Usually when there is a greater number of new leaves I start trimming off some of the old crispy or faded ones this time of year to freshen them up, and remove dead flower stems.

| Karen, You Obsidian is very nice. I started to see some new growth with my Obsidians and Cajun Fire as well. The Cajun Fire new leaves are purple red while the old ones are greenish. Will try to take some pictures this weekend. What is the name of the heuchera at 1 o'clock of obsidian? Vivian |

| That one is Silver Scrolls. That poor thing has had a rough life, but now it is in a better spot, though I may have to move it away from Solar Power a bit so that plant doesn't swallow it. It had been growing in a dry spot overrun by tree roots and had been run over a few times by my boyfriend with trailers because of its previous situation in the other bed it was in. Also, he was just plain not careful. Karen |

| I have two "Obsidian" that I have had for about 4 or 5 years - one growing in semi shade, the other in full afternoon sun. These plants are probably one of my best performers. Doing the type of maintenance that Karen outlined keeps these plants looking great. I highly recommend this one..... |
