'Dormancy' is relative when it comes to heucheras ;-) About as dormant as they get in warmer zones is that they stop producing any new growth but they are fully evergreen so will remain a presence in the garden or in containers all winter. Many varieties will even produce rather distinctive winter coloring with reddish edges, darker coloring or more pronounced veining.
