This confederate rose opens white in the morning. It gradually gets pinker all day until finally turning a dark rose. This photo was taken late in the afternoon (about 4 pm). The leaves are attractive, but have a tendency to wilt on hot days. Also, caterpillars seem to find the leaves irresistable and can eat large holes quicker than you can blink an eye. Despite this...
