Hibiscus aculeatus

Hi,
Here's a pic of my newest Hibiscus, it is H. aculeatus and these are the first flowers I've had on it after planting the seeds around 8 months ago. I'm quite obsessed with Hibiscus, but unfortunately can't grow the tropical varieties here, so I'm always searching for more hardy ones like this.

| I have this hibiscus and I like it. I am always amazed at how much it resembles one of its relatives - okra (Abelmoschus esculentus), a vegetable eaten in the Southern USA. You should order some okra seeds and watch the plants bloom profusely and even eat the seed pods. Okra is grown as an annual but grows easily. |
