Does anyone have one of these cultivars? I just saw a picture of it on Dave's Garden and it looks so beautiful with the variegation and dark purple buds. But it says the buds never fully open. Just curious if anyone has one and how they like it. Thanks.

I have this one, and the foliage is beautiful. But it has been a terribly slow grower for me - - glad that I placed it in the front of a bed where it can be seen.

tnshadylady, thanks for the response! When you say it's been a terribly slow grower, exactly how slow has it been? And do the buds truly never fully open?

Below is a pic and description from a vendor. Seems they do not open but instead make attractive buttons that last a long time. Sue

Cindy, Mine was only about 8 inches tall when I purchased it 2 years ago. Summer of 2007 will be it's third growing season with me. At the end of the summer last year, it was only about 18 inches tall.
