Best for my area?

I live in East Tennessee, which is labeled zone 7a. I love Hibiscus flowers. I'm a big fan of the Hawaiian shirts and spent my honeymoon there. I would love to bring a little of that to my own back yard. I have heard that there are types of Hibiscus that are hardy in my area. I love the bright reds and blues. What are my best options?

If you're talking about ones that will be hardy where you are, I don't know any blues that would work.
As far as reds go, two come to mind:
Hibiscus coccineus - Texas Star hibiscus
Hibiscus moscheutus - Dixie Belle. this ome comes in reds, pinks and white.
They both should be easy to find, via trades, onlline of at your local nursery's.

beach barbie is right. If you want a cousin of the hibiscus, you could try Rose of Sharon, which comes in a couple of blue cultivars, Blue Satin and Blue Bird. Not quite like a hibiscus flower but close and definitely hardy.

Personally, I like the tropical hibiscus best, rosa sinensis, but one must overwinter them inside or treat them as annuals and let them freeze in the winter.
