Leaf Curling (pics)

I have about 6 different hibiscus plants in my garden. This particular one seems to be doing fine, except for the fact that its leaves are always curled - not at the tips, more like a wavy pattern over the entire leaf. Below are some pics. Sorry for the bad quaity, but it's the best I can do with a cheap webcam :)

I notice firm, raised ridges on the curled leaves. I'm not sure if this is normal because I don't have a similar plant to compare it to.

These leaves have brown scabs on the underside, along the veins. They seem more deformed than the others.

This is a "normal" leaf.

At first, I thought it was a bug problem, but other than the scabs on some of the leaves, I don't seem to see any signs of little critters. Also, some of the more shaded leaves seem to look more "normal". Could curling be a response to overexposure to sun and heat? I refrain from using insecticidal soaps if possible, because I don't want to kill the caterpillars and good bugs.

Has anyone experienced similar leaf curling?
