Hibiscus leaves look awful

WOW! Who knew there would be a hibiscus forum. Love it.

I have several hibiscus that have been around for over 5 years but they are looking awful. The leaves are hard to describe it's like they are growing in a ball and are gnarled. Has anybody experienced this and is there any help?

Czfljo: I don't know whether your problem is bug related or not...but there has been talk here before about a mite which attacks Hibiscus and shows up as bumps on the leaves and also distorts the shape of the leaves. If you look up Erinose mite you may get the answer that you are seeking.Hope that helps. Ross.

Any chance of posting pictures so that we can see what "they are growing in a ball and are gnarled" means?
