Blue Satin pruning technique...

Some time ago I booked an article about pruning the perennial hibiscus Blu Satin because it was specific about early spring and pruning back aggressively. Now I can't find it! So,,,,if anyone out there can comment, please do. Will strong pruning promote healthy growth and many more flowers??
Thanks

    Gardenlady48,
It seems all hardwood hibiscus both tropical and hardy like good pruning. I have never tried on softwoods so I am unsure of the results. As long as you have nodes for the new growth, go for it.
