overwintered hib one tall stem?prune it?

I have a hib I brought in that is 2 1/2 tall with no buds and it is a single thick stem..very healthy though..should i prune it when I repot it to take outdoors when it warms up or when..? or not at all ? thanx

Hibiscus don't mind being trimmed at all. I take it there are new leaves and tiny branches on that one big stem? That will guide you as to where to trim.
