I planted 5 red, some had double blooms, hibiscus last summer outside. I do not know what kind they are. I cut them to the ground late fall and was wondering if they will come back or if i need to buy new ones????

We live in northern Illinois. Ours does not show life until late May.

Well, I have the same dilemma. Although we're in different zones I have the same question about my Joanne. I did the EXACT same thing you did and mine seems like it's taking FOREVER! I almost started to "chuck" it but it's starting to show some signs of life. Give it some time it'll be ok.

Was it the perennial(lighter green leaves) or tropical(dark green shiny leaves)?type? The trop will come back in a warmer climate. My perennial hasn't shown anything yet. What zone are you in?
