OK to plant in the swamp?

I read that "rose mallow" is a good plant to put in a soggy, boggy area. I have a red hardy perennial hibiscus that I was constantly watering last year. Is this the same plant that they were talking about? Are all mallows / hibiscuses / rose-of-sharons suitable for this type of wet area?

Lady, did you read the whole page? It states that plants the plants listed 'could' live in a wetland area for a certain amount of time..I don't think it's a good idea, keeping your hibiscus in soggy soil.
I usually let Mother Nature water my hardy hibiscus..Not only are they hardy regarding temps, but are amazing when it comes to water neglect..
Lady, do are your hibs planted in bogs now? Toni

My apologies, I should have described the area better. After a rain, there is standing water for a day or so, but it does drain. Unless there is a drought, the soil is usually moist and squishy.

At the moment, my hib is in a pot. That's why I had to water every day or it would pout.
