Yellow to Rust Hibiscus

Posted by azbookworm z8 AZ (My Page) on

When I was growing up in Miami, Fla. we had a "hibiscus tree" that bloomed bright yellow in the morning and as the day progressed to would turn to rust or dark orange. The flower turned color whether it was on the tree or off.

We called it a hibiscus tree because it grew huge...into a large tree. Larger than our Benjamina Ficus.

Anyone know about this plant? Anyone know if it exists?
