I've been doing some cultivar crosses with some success. I can never get any decent amount of pollen out of LaFrance, however and I'd like to cross it with another cultivar. I can't use it as the female pod parent because the only 2 LaFrance shrubs I have access to are not on my property. If it set seed, I wouldn't be able to keep an eye on it. Is LaFrance notorious for not having much pollen? Or does it dehisce in the middle of the night or something? Thanks.
