| i bought a home in September of 2008, and the previous owner had various plantings around the yard. one being a hibiscus. he told me that you must cut it back every year, and it will grow back late in the season. he cut it back to demonstrate how it was done, as my thumbs are definately not green. i fear that he cut it back too far. he cut the bush down to 12" or so from the ground, and now it is just stubs. he assured me that this is the proper way to do this.
please tell me my hibiscus will grow back again....it was so beautiful. |

| Hi Ela, It will grow back and be better looking than ever. It should be cut back in Spring, though mid summer is still ok. Regards, Brian. |
