I pruned my brillant hibiscus early this spring and she has been producing beautiful dark green leaves. There are now two buds but they have yet bloomed for 2/3 days. I know its root bound. Is it too late to root prune?

I wouldn't think so. I've never heard of a particular time to root prune. I root pruned mine during the summer several years ago and they didn't complain. Of course, just make sure there's a good babance between the amount of branches and roots. Barb

How do you root prune? I have a hibiscus in the front yard that was here when we bought the place 10 years ago. I wondered if it needed the roots thinned out.
