Is it too late for Texas Star Hibiscus

Hello everyone! Is it too late to plant Texas Star hibiscus from seed? I'm not too concerned over whether it will bloom this year, but will it at least leaf out -- all other conditions being favorable? Or, should I just chuck my seeds and beg for more fresh ones this year for earlier planting next year?

Thanks much!

It shouldn't be too late to start them from seed. I have the Red Texas Star and the White Texas Star. I am going to plant some seeds this weekend.

The warmer the weather the quicker they sprout. Planting now is fine and put the pots or trays in full sun. I did mine in the greenhouse in May last year and they sprouted in 5 days.
