| I have an insect problem at the moment. Does anyone know if it is safe to mix a tobacco concoction and water the hibiscus with it? I want to try something more systemic than just spraying the plant.

| I once thought to do that but then I read about tobacco mosaic virus. I don't know how prevalent it is but I think hibiscus are very susceptible to it. I even didn't want my husband smoking his cigars near the plants. That may have been a little over the top but I would do some research on TMV before spraying hibiscus with tobacco mixtures. |
