yellow leaves

I have a potted hibiscus that I just repotted because it seemed rootbound and then some! But even before I did that, it keeps getting more and more yellow leaves that fall off while making blooms on every stem. It is getting leggier every day and I am pinching the new growth to make it bush. Why do you suppose it is gettig yellow leaves?

Any time you dramatically change the environmental conditions of these (temperature, amount of water, light, repotting, etc), leaves will yellow and drop off. The plant will eventually regrow new leaves adapted to the new conditions. These plants are like ficus benjamina. LOL
