i have be to two different local hybrid hibiscus nursery and

each time when the sprinkler system comes on a smell a huge amount of chlorine and when i asked them about it they said that it is good for the plants what is the real reason for the chlorine and what benifit is to the plants

Probably being used as a fungicide. Chlorine bleach/water solutions are often used successfully on ailing plants.
