| Planted a beautiful Fleming hybrid "fireball" that was the hit of the neighborhood last summer. It was planted close to the foundation and was mulched for winter. No signs of life now. All my others are 3 or 4 foot tall now.Fleming bros. bred their hibiscus for hardiness and strenth. |

Nucci60, I am going to take a guess, but it probably had something to do with not enough moisture. Mabey because it was next to your foundation? Mabey this one particular one completely dried out. I do know that hardy hibs need alot of water to survive, and even in the winter, if they dry out, they will die. Sorry it died. I wouldn't plant a hardy hib in that particular spot, just in case it was a lack of moisture situation. |
