My hardy hibiscus won't bloom

My pink hardy hibiscus bloomed wonderfully the first 2 or 3 years that I had it. But the last 2 summers it has not bloomed. It hasn't sprouted yet this year, and I'm concerned about it, although it has come up later and later every year. What might make it not bloom?

I'm new to hibiscus (that's why I stopped in) but it sounds like your plant may be starving... Have you fertilized it - properly for the type of plant it is? Hibiscus are apparently a little fussy about what kind of fertilizer they want.

I found some great care info at the website linked below. The nursery is for exotics, but if it works for an exotic, it should be great for a plain jane hardy hibiscus, IMO...

    Good Luck!

I am having trouble getting my hibiscus to flower? It has a beautiful green full bush but no flowers. I have fertilized with miracle grow liquid. Appreciate any suggestions. Last year the bush didnt look as good, but it had more flowers.
