Please...the difference between Rose of Sharon and...

the Confederate Rose? Which will bloom longest near Gainesville, Florida? How tall? Ease of growing?

They are 2 different plants; ROS is H. syriacus and the other is H. mutabilis. Strictly height to height they will be close at maturity, however H. mutabilis is quite a bit wider also.

I'm 99% sure the rose of sharon will bloom longer. I have one and it blooms from mid-summer on. It would bloom earlier, but it only gets afternoon sun. A neighbor has a confederate rose and it doesn't bloom until mid-fall.
