My red hardy hibiscus has buds on it already, despite the fact that I pinched it once in mid-May. The last 2 years it bloomed in late summer/fall. If it starts blooming now will it rebloom in fall? Or should I cut the buds off so it will grow new ones in the fall like it's supposed to?

My fall-blooming asters are doing this too. I think it's because we had a warm spring that suddenly went chilly; we had 2 weeks of 60-degree weather in late May.

I would hate to lose the late summer/fall blooms when not much else is flowering. Is there anything I can do?
