should I cut off new growth?

I have a large standard hibiscus in my sunny window, it is always blooming and is growing new growth on the ends of the stems. I want it to be more full and bushy the nice big green leaves seem to only be at the ends. If I cut back this new growth will it become more full towards the middle instead of just having large leaves on the ends? Please Help!!
