New to hibiscus

Moved to Texas 4 years ago. Had a pool put in, and a hibiscus plant was used in the landscape. It was little, now it is huge! Since I had so much luck with it, and I have not done anything to it, I went out and bought 7 more! They are little, but putting out terriffic blooms!! They are in full sun. I just love them!!

Question-when do I cut them back, especially the one near my pool? Has to be at least 5 ft tall with lots of green leaves and pink flowers.

Thanks!

You want to cut them well before there is any chance of frost. Most people prune at the beginning of the growing season, to encourage vigorous, healthy new growth. I would suggest doing the same.

I always cut mine back before the first frost and they come back nicely each year.
