First Flower

Its not a fancy variety, but this is the first flower on this seedling. If i didn't know better i would think this is a cutting of Butterfly. I think the parent was Butterfly from Disneyland. i found a random seed pod during a trip and brought it home. the flower is very small - have to wait for more to see if that is a permanent thing or just from the first flower.

That is beautiful, what a nice yellow.
Is it a tropical?
I'm trying to raise some hardy's this year.
My first try, we will see how it goes.
i hope my plants grow like yours.

thank you! yes its a tropical variety. I believe the pod parent is a Butterfly, but not completely sure...

I do have a pair of hardy hib seedlings that grew - got the seeds from ebay, seller claimed the flowers were blue. this is a pic of the plant - its not completely happy with me right now. I just put them in the ground a month or so ago and i am hoping that they will root up well over the summer and return stronger next summer. so far the first flower that opened was white. there are two more flower buds so i will see what color it is this summer...(my snowfire snuck into the bottom of the photo there)
