    Hibiscus moscheutos 'Luna Red'

    Gardener1,
This is definitely a Hibiscus Moscheutos perennial. But it looks like the leaf, stems, height, and actual bloom color will answer more. I do not have a 'Luna Red', but they have a single tear drop leaf like most tropicals. It looks like yours has a multi-lobed leaf (like a frequently smoked plant). I may be able to help with some images of the top of the plant and a few questions answered. I am leaning towards a Proven Winners plant.

Is the plant in direct sunlight for a few hours?
Is new growth purple, and how much?
Describe the red color when the bloom first opens. Is it a basic red or a darker crimson red?

    Hopefully I can Help,
    Ed
