Schizopetalus

Adenium

Hi,

I got a schizopetalus last year and it has been growing quite well since then. However, the problem is I don't really have any flowers yet. There are a few very small flower buds at the top end of the plant, but they don't seem to have been growing for around three weeks.

Is there something special I should do to induce flowering? What kind of fertilizer should I use, and what would be the schedule for fertilizing this plant. Are there cultivation differences with rosa-sinensis?

Thank you,

As much sun as possible if your not doing that now.

I try to feed at least once a week. I like a balanced fert. like a 20-20-20 and keep a 15-9-12 time release on the soil.

I don't treat schizo any different than r. sinensis. I have one plant that's been blooming like crazy and a few others that are just getting started.

We had some 70 mph + winds a few months ago that laid this plant down in the 3 gallon pot itÂs in. It had to be braced to get it back upright. The past few weeks there has been anywhere from 2 to 6 blooms a day on it.
