YouÂve got smart neighbors. ALL of the things that happen throughout the year outside are the very things your plants will need to stay healthy and flourish. YouÂre not going to be able to imitate that in the house. Tropicals make decent houseplants because you can mimic easier indoors what they need to grow.

There is a good reason why you donÂt see pines, oaks, and spruce sold as houseplants.
