Curled leaves and yellow flower stems

I usually grow Hibiscus in the ground, but after losing so many last winter, I decided to try some exotics and put them in large pots with the recommened soil mixture. The Windjammer bloomed beautifully with six inch blossoms. The next buds became very large but the bud stems yellowed, the buds fell off and of course I lost the flowers. What's up with that?

The leaves on the Windjammer are dark green and healthy looking but have a very curled surface. Anyone know if that is the habit of the Cajun hibiscus?

I have sprayed for mites, etc.,and the rest the plants are doing well. Any help will be appreciated.
