Rose of Sharon Seedling when to plant?

Hi,

I have 3 Rose of sharon seedlings that I want to plant outside.They are about 5 inches tall. I would like to plant two of them together I would like to know the distance I should leave between them. And when is the best time for me to plant them outside. Will they have time to set roots and overwinter well if I planted them now? I live in Eastern Ontario.

I have several Rose of Sharon plants. One is about 15 ft. tall and covered w/ blooms-violet colored w/ red centers. Hummingbirds just love this one.
They are very hardy plants & I have started sprouts at just about any time from April till Nov. w/ great success.
