When should I plant these?

I got some hardy hibiscus seeds from the Seed Forum folks a few months ago and now have a number of 4-8" high seedlings in 4" pots. I live in mild Zone 8 territory (Greater Seattle). Is it safe to put these in the ground now? And will these young plants need any special protection in the winter?

You should be able to plant them with no problem as long as you keep them well watered until they're settled in.
They shouldn't need any special attention this winter.
