Help! Rose of Sharon Leaves are Yellowing

amaranthena

I'm growing a Rose of Sharon tree in a container and the leaves are turning yellow and some of the blooms have fallen off and some look like they're dry. It's definitely not from lack of water. I've been watering it regularly and fertilizing it. The soil is a combination of soiless mix with compost. It's getting a decent amount of sunlight. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

I live in NYC and have the tree on my terrace which has a North East exposure. The rest of my plants are doing just fine. Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you.

Check if the pot is big enough. Also if you just put it in a new pot it could be because of the stress. Also check for any signs of bugs or disease.
    Hope this helps

    Thanks Mike.

I think the pot is big enough and it doesn't have any diseases, but I read some other posts and they mention watering with a vinegar solution so I'll give that a try as well.

Poor drainage. Don't water it for a while.
