ROS seedlings or weeds?

Hi all, I'm somewhat new to ROS, but are quickly falling in love w/ them! I've read a lot about how easily they'll self seed, and now can't help but wonder if what I've been weeding has actually been their seedlings! Could some please post a pic of what the seedlings look like? I've been easily pulling up 1" tall 2 rounded leaf "weeds", could this have been them? Thanks! Kathy

Here is a seedling. Sometimes you may see them with just the first rounded leaves.

Uh oh, those 2 rounded lower leaves look like the "weeds" I've pulled up! Thanks for the picture! I couldn't figure out why only lately these odd looking weeds have appeared everywhere (I planted my first 3 ROS last summer). Thanks again! Kathy

ROS is almost like a weed how it self seeds so much. It can be everywhere in your yard or neighbors yard or who knows where. Guess you could dig some up and pot them up if you wanted to save some.

Yeah the wild variety singles do seed a lot. I found about 8 plants under a doubled purple that has been here for 15 years. That is the only seedlings it ever produced.
