Tropical hib bloom pods shrivel up

I am new to hibiscus. I bought one locally and ordered one from logee's. The one I ordered forms blooms but they shrivel before flowering. Also the new leaves are yellowish. Can anyone help? The variety is 'The Path'

It's probably a hybrid, and they are really picky. Sometimes they won't ever bloom, sometimes they drop all their leaves and they never grow back.

But if new leaves are yellow, you need nitrogen. Is it planted in the ground or a pot? Hopefully, a pot where you are. Try putting a tablespooon of epsom salts into a gallon of water and pouring it around the plant.

Bruggirl, thanks for reply. Do you know if there is a way to find postings that a person has submitted or added to? You seem very knowledgeable. Also is LOL lots of luck? And is a 'bump' so the thread will not disappear? Thanks again. Marie
